I Really Did Use Myself As The Reference

A guy on the internet did 1000 self portraits, I'm taking on a challenge to do as many as I can. He did do abstractions of himself, which is why I can count this one, and I call it, "Self Portrait In Mayan."

Transformation

I post this because I might have to leave today for Logan and I don't know that I'll get back to it. (This is what I had done last night).

More Painter

This is my first "sketch" on Painter X, it's for a scene from the book I'm writing--I bet Jordann can guess what this is for...
This was the first thing I "painted" today, and it was more of an experimental/learning thing, which is why the background is terribly unfinished and the bat's right wing looks weird with the bright bone structure. Good news, though, I'm actually figuring Painter out and gettin' some skills!

Pret-chicus!

This is my Grandma Brown! I found her picture scanned in on our photo drive and really wanted to paint it for her.

"Originality Is The Art Of Concealing Your Sources"

I recently "discovered" purple, as I have realized that it adds a nice depth to pieces, so I did this monochromatic face in a blue-purple.

WPA-Style And More Modern Style Logos

My uncle is setting up a site and needed some graphics and a logo, so I spent my whole day putting these ideas together:
This is the final logo idea I came up with.
Did this color sketch in Painter X, then went to Illustrator to re-trace it with vectors. Took me about 6-7 hours or so.
Put this other idea out there after the other logo, done in Photoshop.

Painter-Happy

Just finished this one, it's a mountain study.
Done this afternoon.
Hayley Imbler came over yesterday and played with the art pad, she drew everyone's names that way, and I then took over the name and filled in a bunch of experiments--discovered many new brushes--and then realized it kinda looked cool.
This was a very fast, rough color sketch of Hayley, she commissioned it, and it looks hardly anything like her, but that's her problem.

Stormy Plains

My Dad got a brand new Wacom tablet and Corel Painter X on Wednesday, this is my first success with it.
